Let my best friend tell it, I am now officially a tech employee 🥳 *cue the confetti and balloons*. That’s something worth celebrating, right?
This is my first layoff. And, yes, this is quite awfully a regular occurrence in this industry. And, it’s quite awfully no fun either. But, nevertheless, it is a call to action to unlock the door to our next chapter. So, welcome… to The Pink Slip. My name is Nichelle and we’re going to keep it real, keep it raw, cutesy and demure. I don’t know if it’s the lack of stress that’s bringing me back to blogging now that the brain fog is clearing. But, I’ve been feeling the need to scratch the itch to start writing again; get myself back out there; make myself more visible. I scroll up and down social media, sure. But I hardly ever post and engage, unless I’m congratulating someone on something they find worth celebrating. So, here I am.
What is The Pink Slip?
The Pink Slip is my journey navigating this new territory. I want this to be the place to document my growth and I’m excited to see what that will eventually turn into. Whether you care to read about my personal voyage or not, I hope what I write can validate someone else in what they’re feeling; help them stay positive in a time of uncertainty – as if the state of this country, let alone economy, isn’t uncertain enough. Sidebar: did you all see Elon and Trump fighting? 😂. If you really like what I have to say here, then stay tuned for a book or two. We’ll talk about that later, though.
